The Spanish Global Compact Network, a network of which SII Group Spain has been a part since 2015, today celebrates the 4th Anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), a universal framework with 17 objectives and 169 goals that pursue three main pillars: end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice and combat climate change.

This year 2019 marks a turning point for the new decade, to definitively activate the transition from theory to action among Spanish companies in the contribution to the SDGs. So much so that the 2030 Agenda has positioned the private sector as a key development agent and places its contributions to sustainable development at the same level as those made by states and civil society. Thus, the United Nations is committed to conceiving companies not only as actors that generate wealth, but also development worldwide.

And as a private sector company belonging to the ICT sector, we share this vision and we believe that we play a fundamental role in achieving these objectives. That is why today we raise our voices, and once again we reaffirm our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals for which we work, and on which we establish our basis for business development.

Therefore, we take the opportunity to spread the #AliadosdelosODS campaign, where we can find the #COMparte space, a platform of good practices in sustainability published by the Spanish Global Compact Network where we can find more than 500 inspiring ideas to contribute to the # Agenda2030, and raise awareness that change is necessary.
